New Zealand birds: Takahe dealing with extinction discover new dwelling in sanctuary

Takahe are plump birds with a robust purple beak, stout legs and shiny blue and inexperienced feathers. They develop as much as the dimensions of a giant hen and might weigh as a lot as 3kg (6.6lb).
