Tens of hundreds of ethnic Armenians are fleeing what they see as their ancestral homeland over fears of ethnic cleaning.
Armenia stated on Wednesday it had acquired 42,500 refugees from Nagorno-Karabakh after Azerbaijan seized the territory in a lightning offensive.
Ethnic Armenians are fleeing the Caucasus area, frightened of what its new homeowners would possibly do, although Baku has promised to ensure the security of residents.
