A minimum of 5 individuals have been killed in a car-bus collision on the Yamuna Expressway in Uttar Pradesh’s Mathura, the police mentioned on Monday. 

The incident happened in Mathura’s Mahavan when the automobile — a Maruti Suzuki Swift — crashed into the bus, which had hit a divider after the motive force misplaced management.

Each autos caught fireplace after the collision and a group of firefighters was known as in to douse the fireplace.

The passengers on the bus managed to flee, whereas the 5 automobile occupants have been charred to demise, a senior police official mentioned.

“Preliminary investigation means that the bus misplaced management and hit the divider after its tyre burst,” Shailesh Pandey, Senior Superintendent of Police, Mathura, mentioned.

“One of many victims has been recognized and we try to establish different passengers,” he added.

The bus was reportedly en path to Noida from Agra.
